I just LOVE the second part of this verse – “She laughs without fear of the Future” Proverbs 31.25.
Fear and Faith are Antonyms of each other, you cant have one with the other one. It is either one or the other. When you have Faith in God’s plan for your life, you are confident enough to laugh at fear! How powerful! How Freeing! I have an image of a girl twirling in her dress, arms out and spinning round and round with her head up and laughing… letting go of it all!
I remember when I had my first child how my anxiety level just went from zero to hero! Is he cold, has he had enough to eat, does he have jaundice, is he breathing etc… and I remember phoning my mom and asking when does this worry for your children decrease… and she said never! It only increases…. do they have friends, who is driving the school bus, why are they not home yet, is this boyfriend trustworthy………
I love Jeremiah 29.11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” How Powerful is this promise from God! I think we sometimes don’t realize or take the magnitude of it all in! When we have our Hope and Faith in God we don’t need to fear the future.
Whatever happens, Whatever you have been through and are going through, if your eyes are fixed on Jesus there is nothing you should fear. John 16.33 promises us that God has told you to have peace in Him. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because He has overcome the world” When your Hope is in Him, then you should be the one dancing in the field with your arms outstretch, a joyous smile on your face and your eyes fixed on Him….Have Faith not Fear. With God, the best is ALWAYS yet to come!
